Between giving up and surrender
But the true difference
Is quite a bold distance do remember

Giving up means you're not yet finished
Surrender means you've gone to far
One cannot touch the clouds
The other, missed the stars

Giving up reveals your weaker self
Surrender demands your strongest version
The former inhibits the mind and heart
The latter welcomes their purpose

Giving up is clearly to quit 
A move made too early
While surrender is to see it through 
Until you're no longer hurting

Giving up requires everything
Surrender asks for nothing
To give up does not give anything at all
 Surrender renders no burden

To give up is to surrender your willpower
To surrender is to give up your ego
The first holds on to illusions
And the second lets them go

So if you're ever stuck somewhere
And cannot for life determine
Simply ask your most trusted self
Which one feels most worth it
