Stillness
I welcome you into the motion of my moments
Let us sit together
While the robins still fly
And speak that silent slang
Tell me what you have witnessed
In my dance with busied illusion
So that my form might be refined
Better yet
Formless as the air I once was
I do find truth in movement
Expanded space brings awareness
Like a song I've never heard
But if I wanted to rest
Would you teach me?
The feeling of this footloose frenzy
Tells me something's missing
The music never stops
Perhaps
I'm not actually listening
Do you dance Stillness?
Or are you the rock beneath my glide
I wish to know you and your ways
For the very first time
And for the one clocks cannot measure
In exchange for your wisdom
I give you my seasoned steps
A grand performance you'll never forget
And with your help
This last dance will surely be my best
Until then
I will wait within you
My patience an offering
Along with my faith
As I pray for the eternal stone's pace
