In 2020, a mysterious monolith was discovered by a pilot in the Utah desert. And after its disappearance, it left many wondering what is was and where it went. With other sightings in California, New Mexico, and Romania reported over the last four years, curiosity has been at an all time high. And just last week, it made another return.

A new mirrored monolith was found last week by a volunteer search and rescue team near Gass Peak in the Desert National Wildlife Refuge in Nevada, according to Las Vegas Police. Like the others, the structure has appeared seemingly out of nowhere.

“It remains unknown how the item got to its location or who might be responsible,” Las Vegas police said Friday. They have since removed the object.

A group who call themselves “The Most Famous Artist” has taken credit for the both the California and Utah structures, and apparently offers authentic alien monoliths for sale. However, another artist named Travis Kenney said that he and his group were responsible for the California monolith, and allegedly provided photos of them erecting it.

Are these manmade structures, or something otherworldly? Could it be both?

It would seem a great challenge to get these monoliths up to some of the locations they’ve been found. More difficult still would be the coordination of such an endeavor. After the Utah pillar was found on November 18th, 2020, it disappeared just nine days later. But on that very day, a second one appeared outside of Piatra Neamt, Romania. Five days later, that one vanished. Yet again, on the same day, the California monolith was discovered atop Pine Mountain in Atascadero.

People want to know – what are these things? What purpose do they serve? If it is to gain attention, that goal has certainly been reached. And if it’s a hoax, then well played to the jokesters. Either way stay tuned for the next update of the mirrored monoliths! You may just find one near you.
